Welcome to the Munster Rugby Coaching Index

The first section of this site is based on the IRFU Team Attack Defence Model and deals with Phase Play General Movement. The site contains advice for coaches dealing with players across Stage 1, 2 & 3 of the IRFU Long Term Player Development pathway. The layout of the site is in the form of an Index and each section Attack or Defence starts with phase play working with the collective (whole group) and reduces it back for the coach through collective skills workshops and problem solving (reduced groups) to the individual skills workshops (smaller groups).

On entering the Home Page all the menus are presented to the user and can be accessed without any difficulty by coaches or players at the level required. Users can choose the level (stage) they require to use and all information they access will be from that level.

Users can click on Attack or Defence or Levels (Stage) of development and access the information they require with easy access. There is also a Quick Links  which can speed up the access to a particular area for users.

The first section of this site contains all aspects of  Attack and Defence for Phase Play General Movement and is designed to be a resource for coaches to provide the understanding for players across Stage 1-3.

The Attack and Defence sections contain three areas Mini Rugby - Under 12, Stage 2 Rugby - Under 15 and Stage 3 Rugby up to Under 19 and some Adult Rugby.

Clicking on a stage will bring you to the menu for that section:
